
The Guyana Police Force has launched a probe into the Monday morning shooting death of 28-year-old Agricola resident, Nicholas Narine.
Narine, aka “Biggs”, is a labourer who was at work as part of a drain cleaning team in the community, when he was shot three times to the body by a known assailant.
Police investigators have identified the suspect as 27-year-old, Rafael Bollers.
According to reports, Narine and the suspect are known to each other, and the shooting took place a short distance away from the suspect’s home along Titus Street, Agricola.
The Police said while Narine was doing his work, the suspect who was spotted with a handgun, discharged several rounds in Nicholas Narine’s direction.

The victim fell to the ground helpless, as the suspect, Rafael Bollers ran from the area.
The injured man was taken to the Diamond Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The Police said he sustained three gunshot wounds to the right side of his abdomen and his back.
Investigators found one spent 9mm shell at the scene. The suspect is still to be apprehended.
There are reports that the same suspect shot a relative of the now dead man to one of his feet a few days ago in the same community.
