Police investigators are probing the shooting death of a 20-year-old man.

The young man, Patrick Fraser, was shot late last night while
hanging out in the yard of an abandoned house in Bagotstown. He was rushed to
the Diamond Hospital where he died.

The dead man was the grandson of the owner of the C and F Harbour Bridge mall.

Details of the shooting incident are not clear.

But reports suggest that the incident occurred around 10pm last night while the youth and some other young men were in the abandoned yard, having a drink. 

Persons in the area said the young man had been warned repeatedly about liming in the area and the friends he kept in the area.

Police investigators were at the scene late last night and
asking that anyone with information about the shooting to offer assistance to
the investigators.
