A 28-year-old suspect remains on the run.

A Police report of the incident stated that at around 9pm on Sunday, Ricardo Bailey and a group of persons, including the suspect, were hanging out at a bar in the community, when an argument broke out between Bailey and the 28-year-old man.

The argument quickly escalated into a fight, according to the Police report. It was during the fight that the 28-year-old, whipped out a knife from the waist of his pants and started to stab the 38-year-old labourer.

The bloodied labourer fell to the ground with his injuries and the 28-year-old assailant bolted from the area. The injured man, Ricardo Bailey, was taken to the Diamond Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The Police said medical officials observed five stab wounds on the body. The suspect was known to the victim and the other persons at the shop. However, his whereabouts are currently unknown.
