Chinese supermarket owner murdered during robbery at Eteringbang; Two suspects in custody

A Chinese national who owned and operated a supermarket in the border community of Eteringbang was slashed to death today during a robbery at his supermarket. The dead businessman has been identified as Yang Lisong.

He died after his throat was slit by one of the three bandits who attacked the business place and carried out the robbery. The dead man’s wife was injured during the attack. She is currently under medical care.

Two of the three suspects have since been arrested and are being questioned by Police investigators, as the search continues for the third suspect.

The incident occurred just after 3 o’clock this afternoon. It is reported that the three men entered the business place and held the Chinese couple at knife point while demanding money and valuables.

It is unclear what led to the murder of the owner during the robbery. The probe is ongoing.
