Popular comedian and theatre actor Kirk Jardine aka Chow Pow, was charged today over the alleged assault of his daughter.

The 57-year-old appeared before a City Magistrate this morning where he pleaded not guilty to the assault charge. He is accused of punching and slapping his daughter during a disagreement last Friday.

The Police Prosecutor objected to bail, based on the seriousness of the offense. However, bail was granted in the sum of $50,000 and Chow Pow was ordered to return to Court on the 6th November, 2023.

The Magistrate also ordered the comedian to stay 100 feet away from his daughter and he is also prevented from contacting her.
