Cops fingered in abduction and robbery of Providence man still to be charged

Almost two months since the Director of Public Prosecutions advised criminal charges be filed against two serving members of the Police Force for the abduction and robbery of a man at the Giftland Parking lot, the charges are still to be filed.

When contacted, the Public Relations Department of the Police Force only promised that a follow up to gather information will be done. The Force has been relatively silent on the issue, even as the robbery victim has been seeking answers himself.

The two Police Officers were captured on surveillance cameras at the parking lot of the mall, along with another man, forcing Providence resident, Kevin Fiedkou out of his vehicle.

The man said guns were pointed at him and he was forced into a waiting car. He said the three men drove him around the city demanding money and after they continued to make threats against his life, he was forced to take them to his home where he was robbed by them of more than $9 million that he had been saving for the family’s business.

Fiedkou’s family operates a sand truck business. He said the after he was relieved of the money, the three men threatened to return to his home the following day.

The man said the three turned up at his home the following day, arriving in an official Police car and making demands for more money. He said they eventually left as he insisted that the money they had already taken was all that he had.

One of the two officers fingered in the crime was a driver for a Police Commander.
