The Guyana Police Force said the search is ongoing for the man who was snatched and abducted from outside the New Thriving Restaurant last Thursday.
The incident was captured by someone who was in a vehicle outside the restaurant. In the video recording, you can observe, five men accosting Joshua David and pushing him across the road, while he sought to fight them off. Eyewitnesses said he was thrown into a vehicle which drove off from the area with two of the men who abducted him following on their motorcycles.
Joshua David has not been seen or heard from since, and investigators have been moving into a number of East Coast Demerara communities expanding their search for him.
A wanted bulletin was issued for the five men who were identified as his suspected abductors. Their names have been given as Aaron Alleyne, Alpha Poole, Wayne Barker, Dwayne Griffith and Osafo Peters. One of the men has since surrendered to the Police and is now assisting with the investigations.
The Guyana Police Force is asking for anyone with information about the whereabouts of the other wanted men to make contact with the Police.
The Guyana Police Force has been tightlipped on its investigations and the search for the missing man. Investigators have been reaching out to a number of his friends and family members, hoping to get information as to any issue he might have had with anyone, resulting in the abduction.
News Source understands that the missing man is believed to be friends with one of the men recently identified as a suspect in a Durban Street shooting incident that left three persons dead. The Police would not confirm those reports and whether he might have been abducted in relation to any other recent incident.
