After spending more than five years behind bars on remand from the age of 19, for the murder of a fellow villager, a Yarakita youth admitted in Court today to stabbing another 19-year-old man to death while he was under the influence of alcohol.

Murder accused, Ryan Albert appeared before Justice Jo- Ann Barlow this morning and also admitted to assaulting another man on the same day of the murder.

Albert was charged five years ago for unlawfully killing 19-year-old Dalton Emanuel by stabbing him with scissors.

The two youths were reportedly involved in an argument that led to a confrontation the day after the argument when as Albert admitted, he was under the influence of alcohol.

The murdered youth, Dalton Emanuel was attacked and stabbed multiple times about his body.

With today’s guilty plea by the accused, the trial Judge has set the 9^th December for sentencing. A probation report is to be provided to the Court before the sentence is handed down.
