Police investigators have travelled to Crabwood Creek, Corentyne in Berbice to investigate the brutal murder of a young woman. The blood soaked body of 28-year-old, Maharani Udaraj aka Sherry was found in her house late Thursday evening.
The woman’s body was drenched in blood and there were several stab wounds to her neck and in the area of her chest and stomach. She was clad only in an underwear.
No one has been arrested for her murder but investigators believe it may be someone she was familiar with and they are looking for a number of persons close to her.
Neighbours are also being questioned whether they would have heard or seen anything strange. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
