Police in Linden are investigating the murder of 30-year-old carpenter, Kevin Alexander. The Block 22, Wismar resident died on Monday night after being stabbed to the abdomen by his 28-year-old girlfriend.
The two shared a home together, according to reports.
A statement from the Police explained that the couple were involved in a heated argument just before 10pm on Monday, and it was during that argument that the girlfriend armed herself with a knife and stabbed the man to the abdomen. It is unclear what led to the argument.
The injured man was assisted by relatives and others and rushed to the Linden Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor on duty.
The suspect was subsequently arrested and placed in custody. Investigations are ongoing, and charges are likely to be laid before the end of the week.
