Police investigators in Region One are on the hunt for a 36-year-old woman who allegedly stabbed her 31-year-old reputed husband to death on Christmas Morning at Matthew’s Ridge.
The dead man has been identified as Curtis Daniels. According to reports, Daniels’ body was found on Christmas morning with stab wounds to his abdomen. A broken beer bottle was discovered at the scene, and is suspected to be the murder weapon.
The couple was last seen together leaving a shop in an intoxicated state late on Christmas eve night. There are reports that while at the bar, the two repeatedly got into loud arguments and altercations, but still headed home together.
It is suspected that once home, the arguments between the two escalated. Reports suggest that during the arguments, the woman armed herself with a beer bottle and broke it before stabbing the man to the abdomen. She escaped from the scene, leaving her reputed husband’s motionless body behind.
The man was attacked by the same woman earlier this year and was hospitalised for several days.
Investigations are underway.
