Agriculture Minister Zulfcar Mustapha is nursing a number of injuries after a speeding car slammed into his Government assigned vehicle, while he was leaving the West Coas Berbice area yesterday.
Surveillance video captured from a nearby CCTV camera showed the Minister’s vehicle and another Ministry of Agriculture vehicle moving slowing along the roadway when a car traveling at a fast rate in the opposite lane, suddenly veers off the roadway and slams into the Minister’s vehicle and another vehicle that was just behind him.
The impact of the collision shifted the vehicle with the Minister off the roadway.
The Agriculture Minister and other persons were rushed to the hospital.
An investigation has been launched into the accident.
