Less than 24 hours after the Police issued a wanted bulletin for 24-year-old Mark Anthony Henry for questioning in relation to the murder of West Coast Berbice resident, Sooroojdeo Deochand, the man turned himself in to investigators..
The 68-year-old Sooroojdeo Deochand was discovered in his home with multiple chop wounds about his body on Monday.
Late last night, the Police issued a wanted bulletin for Mark Henry. He is the brother of Joel Henry and cousin of Isaiah Henry, the two Berbice teens who were brutally murdered in the same West Coast Berbice area last September.
Deochand was an initial person of interest in the case but was questioned and released.
Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum confirmed the arrest of Mark Henry. The Crime Chief said the man turned himself over to the Police this afternoon in the company of his Attorney.
The Crime Chief would release no other detail about the probe.
