CANU finds $1 Million worth of marijuana abandoned in One Mile, Linden

The Customs Anti Narcotics Unit has launched a probe into the discovery of 7.5 pounds of marijuana in One Mile, Linden.

In statement, CANU said its agents were conducting an operation in the community this morning when a man was seen carrying a tub with a number of bulky parcels. The man abandoned the items and ran after spotting the CANU ranks.

CANU said its agents found three large bulky parcels, and a check of the contents revealed the 7.5 pounds of marijuana which carries a street value of $1 million, according to CANU.

The drug enforcement unit has been fanning out agents to different parts of the country in its efforts to weed out and tackle the drug trade.
