An operation by the Customs Anti Narcotics Unit in the town of Corriverton in Berbice has netted 57 lbs of marijuana, resulting in the arrest of a suspected drug trafficker.

During the operation on Monday in Little India #79 Village, Corriverton, CANU agents arrested the suspect Wesley Anthonio Barry.

He is the owner of the property where the large packages of marijuana were found in his presence during the search.

Barry was immediately taken into custody and is expected to face Court later this week to answer the drug trafficking charges.
