During a joint operation, today between the Customs Anti Narcotics Unit and the Enforcement Division of the Guyana Revenue Authority, a 48-year-old man was busted with a number of ecstasy pills.

CANU said that during the operation at Corriverton in Berbice, the ranks intercepted a motor vehicle and during a search, four parcels containing 400 ecstasy pills were found in the vehicle.

The driver of the car, Christopher Garraway of Georgetown was immediately arrested and transported to the city where the allegations of drug trafficking were presented to him.

CANU said the ecstasy pills carried a weight of 150.7 grams and the street value for the pills stands at around$600,000
