Elderly man found dead outside La Penitence home was shot multiple times -PME finds

A post-mortem examination carried out on the body of 70-year-old Clinton Chase, who was found dead in front of his La Penitence home has revealed that the elderly man was shot multiple times.

Chase, who was deported from the United States just over a decade ago, was last seen alive riding his motorcycle in area on the night of the 7th April.

His granddaughter reported to the Police that at around 10 o’ clock on the same night, she received a call from someone who told her that the man had fallen off his motorcycle in front of his home.

The woman said when she arrived at the scene, she found her grandfather lying on his back. She said she contacted emergency services and when they arrived and inspected the man’s body, they discovered wounds to his chest, one of his arms and his jaw. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s death is a mystery and no one has come forward with any information about how he might have met his demise. It is suspected that he might have been the victim of a robbery.

Investigations are ongoing.
