FPSO Prosperity arrives in Guyana

Guyana’s newest Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel, Prosperity, arrived in Guyana on Monday morning.

The vessel is joining the oil production facilities on the Payara field, located in the Stabroek block, offshore Guyana. Payara is the third project in the Stabroek Block.

The new vessel is expected to be working in the local oil sector for the next two decades.

“The arrival of the Prosperity FPSO is a testament to the strong partnership between ExxonMobil Guyana, the government of Guyana, our co-venturers and the many suppliers that support our operations. We are excited to contribute to Guyana’s energy future and create lasting opportunities for the nation’s growth and prosperity,” said ExxonMobil Guyana Production Manager Mike Ryan.

FPSO Prosperity is designed to produce up to 220,000 barrels of oil per day, and has an associated gas treatment capacity of 400 million cubic feet per day. It will also be able to store up to 2 million barrels of crude oil.

Prosperity was built in Singapore and earlier this year, it was named and launched by the First Lady.
