WASHINGTON (AP) — Authorities have arrested a suspect in the slayings of a corporate executive, his wife, their 10-year-old son and a housekeeper at a northwest Washington mansion.

U.S. Marshals Service spokesman David Neumann says 34-year-old Daron Dylon Wint was arrested around 10:45 p.m. Thursday in northeast Washington.

Wint is a welder who previously worked for Maryland-based American Iron Works. Forty-six-year-old Savvas Savopoulos, who was slain at his home, was the CEO of that company. Savopoulos’ $4.5 million mansion was set on fire after the slayings on May 14.

His wife, Amy, their 10-year-old son, Philip, and housekeeper Veralicia Figueroa were also slain.

Wint is a native of Guyana and a former Marine. He has been convicted of assault and malicious destruction of property.
