Linden man hangs self after stabbing wife and thinking she was dead

A Linden man was found hanging from a tree at Wismar, early on Tuesday morning. Investigators believe the man killed himself after stabbing his wife several times about the body and thinking that he had killed her.

The woman was taken to the Mackenzie Hospital on Monday morning and the husband had not been seen since. On Tuesday morning, his body was found hanging from a tree in a bushy area in the town. He has been identified as Floyd Hollingsworth.

Scores of persons gathered at the scene where the body was found. The man was clad in a white shirt and black pants.

Report out of the mining town state that during the early hours of Monday morning, the man stabbed his wife just after the two left a nightclub. She remains a patient at the Mackenzie Hospital and according to sources, she is recovering well. Her husband may have been unaware of her recovery and killed himself 24hrs later.
