
A 35-year-old mini-bus conductor, found himself before the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on Monday facing a charge of car theft.
It is alleged that on the 11th May, 2017, mini-bus conductor, Donald Alison, stole a Toyota Premio motor car bearing registration number PMM-6253 in Newtown, Kitty.
The car which was valued at $1.2 million is the property of Carnila Bristol. The woman reportedly woke up to and realised that her car was missing. She reported the matter to the Kitty Police Station and a probe was launched.
The car was recovered stripped but still bearing some markings that were known to the owner.
The bus conductor reportedly admitted to the crime in a caution statement was was charged. He was placed on $400,000 bail yesterday and the matter has been adjourned to 12th June.
