Mother of two dies in Soesdyke-Linden highway accident

35-year-old Natoya Narine of Linden became the latest accident victim of the Soesdyke-Linden highway on Sunday when she lost control of her car as she was heading to Georgetown.

Narine was driving in the Loo creek area when she reportedly lost control resulting in the car flipping over several times before it came to a stop.

Several parts of the highway are in a deplorable state with potholes and wavy stretches of roadway.

Narine was a mother of two. There were three other occupants in the car, 45-year-old Anthony Beaton and two young girls. They all sustained injuries and were taken to the Linden hospital for medical attention.

A police report said the woman was driving at a fast rate at the time of the accident. The investigations are ongoing.
