
Hours after the post-mortem examination was completed today on the body of 29-year-old Rondell Clarke who was shot dead on Sunday night in Foulis, the Police say a metal fragment from that was recovered from his body has matched the bullet of the gun that was being used by a security guard.
According to the statement from the Police, after the metal fragment of the bullet was recovered, it was immediately forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Department’s Crime Laboratory for ballistic analysis.
The Police said following a comprehensive examination, ballistic experts concluded that the metal fragment recovered from Mr Clarke’s body was discharged from an AR rifle that was in the possession of Messiah Mussendeen, who is the security officer employed by Force Security Solutions.
The Police said additionally, ballistic experts were able to match a 9mm spent shell casing recovered from the scene to a 9mm pistol that was in the possession of Devon Boucher, another security officer employed by Force Security Solutions.
The Police said it would like to make it clear that the fatal shot which resulted in the death of Rondell Clarke was discharged from the AR rifle in the possession of the security guard, Messiah Mussendeen.
The two security guards were taken into custody and two police officers were also placed under close arrest following the man’s shooting death. He was reportedly shot in Foulis moments after he was seen being chased by the Police through the community.
