PPP’s statement and figures

In a statement on the website with the statements of poll, the People’s Progressive Party/Civic said it wants everyone to view the tabulated Statements of Poll (SoPs) for Region # 4.

“The SoPs are public documents that should be made available for public scrutiny by everyone. We must protect the will of the people against the rogue elements within GECOM, who are attempting to manipulate the tabulation of the Region 4 votes using fake spreadsheets”, the PPP stated.

Last evening, GECOM made a decision to verify the statements of poll individually for the remaining over 300 polling stations in Region 4.

That decision came after some errors were discovered on the spreadsheed that was being used for the tabulation of results.

Since then, there were several stops in the process and there was a delay in the start this morning.

Region Four is the voting district with the largest number of voters and polling stations. It is the only region still to declare its the results of the elections in the region.
