President to return today following successful medical evaluation in Cuba

The Ministry of the Presidency has announced that President David Granger will return from Cuba today after completing his scheduled medical evaluation.

According to the President’s office, the Team of Cuban Medical Specialists confirmed that the President’s medical examination shows that he has improved to the satisfaction of his doctors and that he is in good health.

The specialists iterated that the President responded very well to the treatment at CIMEQ in Cuba and that the Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma remains in remission.

The President left Guyana over the weekend to undergo the scheduled medical evaluation. He will return to the campaign trail this weekend with rallies set to take place in Golden Grove and New Amsterdam.

President Granger was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in 2018 and completed treatment in Cuba in early 2019.

His doctors in Cuba scheduled a number of follow-up visits after his treatment.
