Rohee gives APNU+AFC government a Grade F’ for performance

The General Secretary of the People’s Progressive Party, Clement Rohee, is not impressed with the governing of the country by the David Granger led administration and would offer a Grade F’ for the coalition’s governing of the country so far.

Speaking at his Monday morning press conference at Freedom House, Mr. Rohee said the seven-month-old government appears to have already developed an obsession with power.

“I would give them an F”, Rohee said, as he explained that the failing grade would not just be given “for giving an F sake”, but rather would reflect the failures of the APNU+AFC since taking office.

“I have seen them perform”, Rohee said as he defended his grade for the new government. The PPP has been very critical of the government and maintains that the only reason it is now in opposition is because it was “cheated and not defeated”.

A few months ago, Minister of State Joe Harmon said he believes the government has been doing well and therefore he would give the government an A grade for the work it has done since taking over office back in May.

In recent months, the government has come under criticism for a salary increase it gave to Ministers and all members of  parliament, but at the same time, the government has been receiving high praise for its clean up efforts and several new programmes and initiatives coming out of the President’s office.
