A South Ruimveldt man, who may have been disposing of cocaine at his home as agents arrived to conduct a search, is in custody and will be face cocaine possession charges.
The Customs Anti Narcotics Unit has announced the arrest of Colin Hopper of 49 Blue Sackie Drive, South Ruimveldt.
On Friday, agents of CANU moved into the area to conduct a search of the property after receiving information. 514 grams of cocaine was retrieved.
According to CANU, there were several traces of suspected cocaine residue discovered in various parts of the house as well as signs of the narcotic being flushed down the toilet.
Ranks were able to retrieve a small quantity of cocaine from the pipe leading to the septic tank from the toilet. The man was immediately arrested as moves got underway to file charges.
The probe continues.
