One of two gunmen who attempted to carry out a robbery at the Hand in Hand Trust Corporation on Middle Street on Wednesday afternoon, has reportedly been arrested.
A female security guard was grazed by a bullet during the incident.
Another security guard attached to the company is being credited for putting up a fight against the gunmen who were trying to gain entry to the building.
It was just after 2:30pm that the two men appeared and attempted to barge into the building. They opened fire as the guard blocked their full access and fired shots at them, forcing staff members on all three floors to scamper for cover.
Guards attached to a private security company who were in the area, responded to the sound of gunfire. By then, the gunmen had already dashed from the building. However, one of the men was nabbed in the Main Street area.
When News Source arrived at the scene, police investigators were dusting for finger prints and gathering spent shells.
A bullet hole was spotted in the door of a car that was parked in front of the building. The car belongs to an employee of the company.
Investigations are underway.
