Tagman Media snags Caribbean Advertising Award

Tagman Media snags Caribbean Advertising Award

Local advertising company, Tagman Media is celebrating a win at the Caribbean Advertising Federation’s American Advertising Award 2014.

The company which is managed by veteran Broadcaster and Public Relations Consultant Alex Graham, captured the Silver Addy Award for a 60 second television commercial that it produced for Igloo Ice Cream.

The advertisement was produced by the Tagman Media team of Kewan Harlequin, Christopher Leach, Kemptorne Daly, Jason Lampley and Alex Graham.

There were over 900 entries in the various categories at the advertising competition and Tagman Media is proud to be the only Guyanese agency to have won an award. According to a release from the company, a number of other foreign agencies won awards for products developed for companies and advertisers in Guyana.

The company said this was the first time that it submitted entries for an ADDY. Three entries were submitted. Graham said he sees the award as a way of recognizing the efforts of the young professionals on the Tagman team and also as a way to inspire other young Guyanese to be creative and to submit their work for peer review.

The competition is comprised of three tiers starting with local competitions such as Caribbean Advertising Federation(CAF) Award which includes entries from across the Caribbean.

Winners in the local CAF competition move on to compete with other winners from the 4th District which includes the entire state of Florida. Winning entries then move to the final tier to compete for top honors in the National American Advertising Awards. This year, a record 995 professional entries and 9 student entries have been submitted.
