Trinidadian national and Guyanese wanted by CANU for questioning about importation of cocaine

Guyana’s Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) has issued a wanted bulletin for a Trinidad and Tobago national and a Guyanese for questioning about the alleged importation of cocaine and other drugs into Guyana.

In a statement today, CANU identified the Trinidadian national as 23-year-old Ricardo Ramesh Chanarbhan. His last known address was Stadium Road, Providence in Guyana.

The Guyanese man, who is also wanted in connection with the same case, has been identified as 39-year-old Yuen Godfrey Thorne.

In its statement, CANU said the two men are wanted for questioning in relation to an ongoing investigation into suspected narcotics importation, possession of narcotics and trafficking.

CANU is urging the two men to surrender to its headquarters or the nearest Police station. Anyone knowing their whereabouts is asked to contact the nearest Police station or call 911.
