Two men were arrested by the Customs Anti Narcotics Unit on Friday in Lethem, Central Rupununi with a quantity of cocaine and marijuana.

In a statement, the Customs Anti Narcotics Unit explained the men were arrested during an operation at a residence in the community, which was triggered by information that had been received.

CANU said during a search by its ranks, they uncovered 45 grams of cocaine stashed in small packets and 27 grams of marijuana that was also in small packets.

The CANU ranks arrested Drawn Williams and Laurence France as they launched their investigations.

CANU said the investigations are ongoing. The two men are expected to face the Court this week.
