US fugitive nabbed in Guyana back in US to face sex abuse charges

The American man, Bobby Allen Stark, who was arrested in Guyana last weekend, has been extradited from Guyana after deciding to waive an extradition hearing.

Stark was wanted in the US state of Colorado on child sexual abuse claims.

The wanted bulletin was issued for his arrest after he missed a Court date a few months ago in Colorado.

In a statement, the US Embassy said the fugitive was arrested in a joint effort between, the Guyana Police Force, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the US Diplomatic Security Service.

It was also explained that acting on information received, Guyana Police Force Officers, in collaboration with Diplomatic Security Service, located the fugitive, and he was escorted back to the United States by federal agents to face charges.

The United States Embassy offered tanks to the local law enforcement and the Government for its support in apprehending and extraditing the wanted man.
