US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will arrive in Guyana tomorrow morning for a whirlwind one-day visit, during which he will hold discussions with the President and other members of the Government on a number of issues.

Mr. Blinken’s visit follows his attendance today at the CARICOM Heads of Government meeting in Trinidad and Tobago. During that meeting he reaffirmed the US government’s support for the region in a number of areas.

The Guyana visit by the high ranking US Government Official is expected to see a number of issues being discussed, from the oil and gas sector, to development partnerships and US-Guyana relations.

Mr. Blinken is expected to be accompanied by a number of high ranking officials from the US Congress.
