Two men stabbed while helping woman being beaten by boyfriend

Two men are nursing serious stab injuries after they rushed to the aid of a woman who was being beaten by her boyfriend on Saturday night.

A Police report stated that Leroy Goriah and Alonzo McLean, both of Albouystown, were having drinks at a local bar in La Penitence, when they observed 34-year-old Jason Lespoir beating away on his girlfriend outside the bar.

The Police report said the two men intervened in an effort to help the woman under attack, and it was then that the attacker, Jason Lespoir, drew a knife from his pants waist and dealt the men several stabs about their bodies before making good his escape on foot in an eastern direction.

The two injured men were picked up by public spirited citizens and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), where they were admitted by Doctors.

Goriah’s condition is listed as critical, while McLean’s condition has been listed as stable.

One of the men was stabbed five times to his back and to the left side of his chest while the other man was stabbed to the left shoulder.

Both men remain under medical care. The suspect is still to be arrested.
