Three suspects have been arrested as Police investigators continue to probe the double murder of Baramita, Region One residents, Mark Thomas and Wendy James.

The bodies of the two were found in New Star Backdam, North West District in Region One. The Guyana Police Force said the murders took place on the 16th June, 2025.

The three suspects have been identified as Kizzian Baird, Junior Richmond and Ewart Wilson.

The three were found by Police hiding out in various parts of the New Star backdam. They were arrested and questioned about the double murder, according to the Police.

The Police said the three have since provided written statements about their alleged involvement in the murders. A post-mortem examination is to be carried out on the remains of the two victims on Monday.
