Police investigators are probing a Live video recording that went viral on Sunday and showed a wanted man fatally shooting himself while playing around with a gun in the company of another man.

The video was being carried live on Facebook on Sunday, but has since been removed according to the Police.

In a statement this morning, the Guyana Police Force said the incident is under probe. The man who is believed to have fatally shot himself was identified as wanted man, Immanuel Nurse aka Jamal Bourne, aka “Skinny”. He was wanted in connection with the September 2024 murder of Akeem Hamer at Pouderoyen.

The Police stated that during the broadcast, Bourne was observed in the company of other individuals while allegedly displaying a cadre of suspected firearms.

The Police said there is no official confirmation of his death and no reports have been received in any of the 12 policing regions of Guyana regarding the incident, but the Force made it clear that it was treating with the matter seriously and continues to make inquiries as it seeks to verify the location.

Since the Police report, another video has surfaced showing the man’s body lying in a pool of blood as screams could be heard in the background. It is suspected that the incident might have occurred at a remote location.
