Police are investigating the execution-style gunning down of East Coast Demerara resident, 35-year-old Orlando Chichester. The man was shot dead on Sunday evening while riding his motorcycle in the village of Bare Root. He was reportedly attacked by the occupants of a black car.
According to reports, Chichester was at a birthday party for his young son, when he left the party to make a quick visit to his barber. He never made it to the barbershop.
The dead’s man’s mother, Mary Chichester, told News Source this morning said she wants justice, adding that she is unaware of any issue her son had with anyone.
The Police this morning said the man sustained multiple gunshot injuries to his shoulder and chest.
Persons in the community said loud gunshots were heard and the man was seen falling from the motorcycle with multiple gunshot wounds. His assailant has not yet been identified. A full investigation has been launched.
