
The Sheriff Construction company has announced the acquisition of 100 state-of-the-art large trucks to support the local construction boom and to increase the company’s operational capacity.
In a statement, the company said the strategic investment, which it valued at $2.5 billion, exemplifies its unwavering commitment to enhancing its resources for the ambitious projects ahead.
The company explained that delivery of the new trucks is slated to commence in December 2023, with the final phase scheduled for completion in December 2024.
Director of Projects at Sheriff Guyana, Hayma Singh, said “the investment signifies a monumental leap forward for Sheriff Construction. These trucks represent more than just vehicles, they are a testament to our unwavering dedication to delivering world class construction solutions”.
Meanwhile, the company’s Director of Public Affairs and Community Engagement, Janelle Persaud, noted that the acquisition of the trucks is a strategic move that aligns with the company’s mission to contribute to Guyana’s infrastructure development.
