The three dead persons have been identified as 21-year-old motorcyclist Elijah Pellew and his pillion rider, 21-year-old Raymond Rose and 19-year-old Shawn Persaud, who was a passenger in one of the cars involved in the accident.

The driver of one of the cars who survived the accident, told investigators that the motorcyclist had just overtaken another car along the roadway when the rider collided with the ride side of another car and then into a truck.
