The Court heard that 28-year-old, Stacy Muffet, a former Clerk at Republic Bank, was entrusted with $500,000 back in 2015 by customer Ivon Dasulio to be transferred into another account of a University in Trinidad.

A former Republic Bank staffer found herself before a City Magistrate, facing fraud charges today after she allegedly converted $500,000 to her own use.

The Court heard that 28-year-old, Stacy Muffet, a former Clerk at Republic Bank, was entrusted with $500,000 back in 2015 by customer Ivon Dasulio to be transferred into another account of a University in Trinidad.

Instead of completing the transaction, the young woman is accused of converting the money to her own use.

She pleaded not guilty after the charge was read. However, the prosecutor had no objections to bail and bail was set in the sum of $150,000. The matter will be called again later this Month.
