The CEVON’s Waste Disposal company was attacked by gunmen early this morning who tied up the security guards and escaped with a safe with an undisclosed sum of money.
The Police report of the incident said it was around 2 o’clock this morning when a security guard was held at gunpoint in the guard hut by two armed men and told not to move.
He was taken to the back of the building where the other security guard was also held at gunpoint.
The Police report said that at this stage, five other men joined the two gunmen in the compound and gained access into the CEVON’s building by smashing the glass door.
The guards were taken inside the building and tied up.
The seven suspects made good their escape with several items including the company’s vault.
The security guards eventually untied themselves and raised an alarm. Checks were made for the suspects but no one was seen in the area.
A full investigation is underway.
