Three security guards were tied up and robbed early this morning at the Mon Repos/Annandale Neighbourhood Democratic Council Head Office by three bandits, who attacked the building in the hopes of discovering a large sum of cash, but were surprised by an empty safe.
According to reports, it was just after 1 o’ clock this morning that the men, who were all armed, raided the building demanding $16 million that they claimed was in the building.
The gunmen claimed that they had been told that the money was stored at the office.
They reportedly were left shocked when they broke into the safe and found it completely empty.
The disappointed bandits proceeded to rob the security guards of their cellphones and other valuables and also carted off a washing machine that was in the building.
After they left, the security guards managed to free themselves and contacted the Police. An investigation has been launched.
