Police investigators have sought and have been granted an order to further detain two suspects in the murder of Yarrowkabra woman, Edith Reuben.
The woman was found hanging from a mango tree in her yard on the 8th February. Her husband reported that he made the discovery after waking up early in the morning.
But the husband is among two suspects being held for the murder and according to the Police, the two suspects have since confessed to hitting the woman to her head after finding her in a compromising position with another man inside the family’s home.
According to the Police, the men have admitted to placing the woman’s body to hang from a mango tree in her yard to make it appear as if she had taken her own life.
A post mortem examination of the woman’s body gave the cause of death as asphyxiation due to hanging compounded by blunt trauma.
The suspects are expected to appear in Court early in the new week.
