An East Ruimveldt husband and wife were arrested by the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit on Thursday after a search at their home unearthed a quantity of ammunition and marijuana.

In a statement, CANU said that it was conducting an operation in Ginnep Lane, East Ruimveldt and during a search of the home of Julian Aaron and Denise Aaron, 130 rounds of various types of ammunition were found along with more than three pounds of marijuana.

The couple was immediately taken into custody as an investigation was launched into the discovery.

CANU has been moving into a number of communities in its efforts to root out drug trafficking and the narco trade.
