38-year-old, Dhanraj Persaud was today found guilty of raping a 15-year-old.
The jury returned a unanimous verdict after listening to several days of testimonies and arguments.
The convict appeared emotionless as the verdict was read in the courtroom of Justice Jo-ann Barlow.
During the trial, it was revealed that on the 21st August, 2013, Persaud raped the girl who was 15-years-old art the time.
Because the case involved a juvenile, the details cannot be reported.
The Judge has asked for a probation report on the convict to be compiled before sentencing. That sentencing date has been set for November 27. At the time, a statement from the victim will also be read out in Court.
