Police in Region 10 are investigating the discovery of a high-powered rifle and ammunition during an intelligence-led operation conducted on Tuesday December 2, 2025 at 77 Miles, Unamco Road.
The Police said during the operation, ranks conducted searches in the area and found several camp sites, which prompted further checks that led to the discovery of a suspected RF-15 rifle with a magazine containing thirty (30) .223 live rounds inside a hammock in one of the camps.
No one was seen in the area at the time.
The firearm and ammunition were taken to the Mackenzie Police Station where they were lodged pending investigation. A full probe has been launched.
