27-old-year Leon Duncan aka “Whistle”, was back in Court today charged for assaulting and wounding two security agents attached to the 704 sports bar.
The man, who is no stranger to the Court, stood before Principal Magistrate, Judy Latchman and entered a plea of not guilty to the two charges.
The Court heard that on the morning of the 23rd February at Lamaha Street, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Kenrick Maynard and Jeremy Adman.
Attorney Mark Waldron who represented the accused, told the Court that his client’s presence in Court came as a result of unfortunate circumstances.
The Police Prosecutor objected to bail based on the serious nature of the offences and the penalties attached.
The Prosecutor explained that on the day of the incident, the two security officers attempted to stop a fight at an event just outside the sports bar, when the accused became annoyed and lashed the two security officers to their face with a glass bottle.
After listening to the arguments, the Magistrate granted bail in the sum of $80,000 on each charge.
The accused was previously charged for discharging a firearm and is currently before the Court on an attempted murder charge.
