Police investigators in Berbice are probing the murder of 28-year-old Tyrone France, of New Amsterdam, Berbice.

The young man’s body was found at the side of the roadway in Heathburn Village, East Bank Berbice on Monday morning with multiple stab wounds and other injuries.

Police Regional Commander, Shivpersaud Bacchus, said the the incident occurred at around 10:30am on Monday.

It remains unclear what triggered the mid-morning attack and stabbing that left the youth dead, but the Police have since revealed that five suspects have been arrested as the investigations continue.
