The Cummings Lodge man, who two months ago admitted to stabbing his wife to death, was sentenced to 30 years in jail today.
The convict, Seon Singh, had decided to enter a guilty plea to the unlawful killing of his wife Indranie Sugrim back in 2012.
Appearing before Justice James Bovell-Drakes today for sentencing, the convicted killer said he accepted responsibility for his wife’s death and he is sorry for his actions.
He apologized to his children for taking the life of their mother and admitted that he lost his anger and that resulted in the actions that he took.
In handing down the 30 year sentence, Justice Bovell-Drakes said it is the hope of the Court that the man will use his time behind bars to take advantage of various life improvement programmes that will be made available to him.
