Police investigators in A’ Division are probing the death of a 60-year-old farmer who was found murdered in his Hill Foot, Linden/Soesdyke Highway house on Monday.

The man has been identified as Anthony Breedy.

His body was found with multiple injuries to head. His hands and feet were tied and a piece of wood was found in the blood splattered house. Police investigators are convinced that the piece of wood may have been the murder weapon.

According to the Police, the man lived alone in the two-storey house. The upper flat of the house was found ransacked. Neighbours said the last time they saw the man was on Saturday.

Police sources also reported to News Source that the neighbours also explained that they did not see any unusual activity in the man’s yard and also did not see any strange person in the area.

The man’s body has been brought to Georgetown and is at the Lyken Funeral Home, awaiting a post-mortem examination.

Breedy reportedly owned several large pieces of land along the Linden/Soesdyke Highway where he did his farming.
